About Dr James Ching

Dr. James Ching is a frequent contributor to IAM magazine. Born in Shandong Province China he learned Taijiquan as a boy from his father and later studied traditional Chinese medicine in Beijing at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. During the rise of the cultural revolution in which he was involved with protests against the regime he and his family escaped to Canada and changed their surname to Ching to avoid being discovered. Later the family moved to the United States where James began a college study majoring in internal medicine with a minor in psychology. He has an interest in researching shamanistic medicine and other traditional Asian methods of healing.
