Wayfinding
Stephen Watson has immersed himself in Eastern philosophy and martial arts for over 35 years. Stephen can be found at his home studio, Someday Farm in Connecticut.
Our guest poet is a modern day man who loves the old ways. Stephen travels the world teaching the poetic process of wisdom-seeking that is Tai Chi through his various arts.
We are pleased to call Stephen a Gong Fu brother and fellow traveler on the way. Here is one of Stephen’s evocative poems.
and as it goes
it ever shows…Its wendingness
its patient rush,
its low-going,
its turning, eddying
its dripping, pooling.
Its ways, The Way.
Always, Wú Wéi
In its course, your course.
In its force, your Source.
In its undulation, your meditation.
In its dissolution, your negation.
Its ways, The Way.
Always, Wú Wéi.
Its hail pelting
is ‘you’ melting.
Its dew forming
is ‘you’ re-forming.
Yes, water flows
and as it goes
it ever shows…
Yes, all that flows
also shows
it’s not forgot:
it knows
still to still;
to flow and too
to not.
Too, water freezes
and as it seizes
it also shows.
Its ways, The Way.
Always, Wú Wéi.
